To use :

Zoom in to the area of interest, you will see a grid of white squares (tile) appear.  If the square has a red box in the middle then it has already been processed and the dams digitised.  Clicking on the red square will indicate who did the work and when with any comments.  Zooming in further will make the dams appear as pink icons.

To input data :

Move to a tile without a red square in the middle and zoom in.  Move systematically around the grid looking for water bodies as indicated by the yellow lines of the water body dataset or as apparent in the Google imagery.  If your area is cloud-covered in the Google imagery, activate the Terrascope imagery.
When you observe a water body look closely for signs of a dam. See
here for examples.

If you see a dam, move the earth until the white crosshairs overly the dam slipway (or the dam wall if the slipway is not apparent).  Give a few seconds for the red crosshairs to overlay the white ones and click the cross hairs.  Click edit in the balloon that appears.  A form will open up in your web browser.  Enters the details in this form (you may need to switch on the Gazetteer layer to identify the name of the dam.  If you cannot find the name of the dam, leave the field blank.  Add any information that you know of the dam.  Once you have completed the form and pressed submit, return to Google Earth and work through the tile repeating this action for each dam.  The dams will appear as you edit them.

Once you are sure that you have covered the entire tile, click on the down arrow in the middle of the tile and complete the form which indicates the tile has been done and who did it.  Then move to another unprocessed tile.
