No. We are a different type of charity. Existing charities take your donation, put it to work to acheive their stated objectives and occasionally report back the successes to donors.
With Guardian you can manage your donation, where it goes, and what it does. You do this by joining an online community of donors investing in the same project or area as you and by voting on which of the HP-vetted proposals from implementing agencies (national parks authorities, development agencies, conservation organisations) that you will fund. HP brings together communities of 'armchair volunteers' like you, with implementing agencies working with communities on the ground so that you can contribute directly to creating a healthier planet.
You decide what to do with your donation and HP helps to feed-back information to you on how your donation is leading to change. This way your legacy depends on your decisions and actions as well as your funds.
Of course, you can also choose to donate in the traditional way and HP will manage your donation to bring about change in activities that are high priority or underfunded by our Guardians.
