Guardian brings together interested citizens to engage with local stakeholders for particular protected areas to provide time, data and financial resources for projects which improve the sustainable conservation of already-protected areas - in perpetuity. 

By providing funds to protect one or more square kilometres or hectares of an existing park and managing these funds for sustained community-based conservation in your park(s), you will be working to ensure that your children's future is as privileged as your own. 

You will be working towards the most important legacy for future generations : a healthy planet.  Since these areas are already protected your funding and efforts will have a high impact, especially in our 'red list' of the most threatened  parks.

Help protect the world's most important places by:

• Adopting some land in a park: choose the kilometre square you would like to adopt using our HP-zoom tool and join the community protecting that park.
  
  
• Being inspired: explore the parks in our Google-powered HP-zoom and get involved in protecting those which are important to you or are most threatened (see our red-list).
  
  
• Help us to map and document the parks, the threats to them and the species they are home to, as a HP researcher

With Guardian you can: 

• adopt from one hectare to thousands of  square kilometres of any of the world's more than 77,000 nationally designated protected areas or a number of private reserves for yourself or as a gift to a loved one,
  
  
• dedicate part or all of a park to someone,
  
  
• join an online community of like-minded individuals investing in the same park(s) to manage your park fund for conservation,
  
  
• entrust this land to future generations by funding, managing and supporting projects by our partner organisations for conservation and sustainable development in the area,
  
  
• pass on the 'Guardianship' to family or friends as a gift to them and to future generations,
  
  
• monitor the impact of your funding and management using our Google powered monitoring and conservation@home tools,
  
  
• have your name associated with the conservation of some of the world's most precious and awe-inspring landscapes and ecosystems, in perpetuity,
  
  
• have your contribution recognised by name or anonymously in our Google-powered adoption system,
  
  
• make a contribution towards a healthier planet for yourself and for others from the comfort of your home.
